Sending forth God’s word

I am very happy that I have accidentally tuned in your program in the morning. I pray that the gospel of Jesus will be preached all over the world. Many Shan people have not yet heard about Jesus at all. I pray that all our Shan people may come to know Jesus and believe in Him through your radio broadcast.

The Word of God is powerful and the Holy Spirit will use it to open ears, hearts and minds to the truth. In a tightly controlled country such as Burma the challenge is to get God’s Word to people living in remote villages.

Radio is an ideal media for this – airwaves can go where missionaries cannot go and the technology to access radio signals is common and relatively cheap.

It is a pity that I have been worshipping a god that has no power or authority. In fact what I am worshipping is not a god but only a statue. I am happy to come to know eternal and almighty God. Send me book to read more.

Faithful Christians are broadcasting the Gospel message into Burma daily. They send forth God’s Word and it does produce fruit. Such a far-reaching message is ideally accompanied by prayer which can reach even further, all the way to God’s throne in heaven.

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
(Isaiah 55:10–11 ESV)

Pray for

  • God to use the broadcasts to reach the Shan people with the truth of Jesus (see Romans 10:14).
  • Believers in villages with no church to be encouraged by these broadcasts and share with others around them (see Ephesians 6:19).
